(Very similar to Oslo). It's called the Arlanda Express. It was simple to buy the ticket at the airport, figure the stop, and connect to a metro train to where we stayed (the Hilton). https://www.arlandaexpress.com/ When we've flown into Bergen (or returning to BGO Airport from downtown Bergen) we always take the Flybussen - quite easy and relatively inexpensive. https://www.flybussen.no/en/airports/bergen-airport-flybussen-bergen/ Yes, thank you. We have been to Stockholm, Oslo and Bergen before. This time we are thinking of flying to Copenhagen (we've been there before too) and taking the train with a few stops in Sweden before we arrive in Stockholm. Thanks much for the links! We have booked the BIE out of Bergen, but we plan on flying independently to Stockholm and spending time in Stockholm and other parts of Sweden before we fly to Bergen to begin our cruise. Excellent decision! I got to live in Stockholm for a couple of months….every day was an adventure with so much to see and do. Enjoy!

Rare BluebonnetTexan Posted Wednesday at 12:31 AM #30 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:31 AM Budapest - the lights at night are so scenic and I loved learning all the centuries of history here with so many different regimes. Stockholm - scenic and interesting history. The sail through the archipelago was magnificent! St. Petersberg - so fortunate to get there in 2019, enough said Eidfjord, Norway - we arrived overnight and when I looked out the window, I knew this was a place that would stay with me forever.

Agreed. I would add it to my already long list..
lackcreativity Posted Wednesday at 02:31 AM #32 Share Posted Wednesday at 02:31 AM I acknowledge many of the places already mentioned as holding spots on my list of favorites. I will add two more, with a caveat. We were lucky enough to visit Dubrovnik and Santorini in early spring with nice weather and small crowds. In Santorini, the Viking Star was the only ship in port that day! The enjoyment of those two spectacular places can really depend on the circumstances. I will most likely add Valletta, Malta as a favorite, if I finally make it there. That holds the top spot on my bucket list, but I think that sounds like a different thread!
