Honolulu Overnight Parking

Hi !

We are on RCL's Ovation of the Seas and have an overnight stay in Honolulu arriving Oct 10th at 9 am and leaving to cruise the Napali coast on Oct 11th at 10 pm . So we were thinking of renting a vehicle for the two days and driving around the island on our own. Does anyone have an experience with parking a vehicle overnight at the cruise terminal ? Will we be walking a huge distance, need a taxi or is the parking close by?

Having done this many times I think the best strategy for a two day stay is to try and limit your rental car needs to one day and turn the car in at an after hours drop off when you are done with it. Rent your car the first day and you'll have plenty of time to drive around the island. Use day 2 to stay closer in at Waikiki and enjoy all the things there and some beach time. 

 

It will also save you a bunch in parking overnight which is very expensive.
