Best Beach Day options in Costa Maya

6 of us. 4 adults, 1 teen and 1 9-year-old will be on a cruise ship next June. In Costa Maya from 7AM to 4PM. Want a nice Beach that is not overcrowded.  Food, drinks and facilities available.  Would also like to be able to book a boat for a snorkeling excursion from the beach. I've seen the AI beach clubs but they seem to be expensive for what you get and I'm worried that if we don't dock due to weather that it will be difficult to get refunded.  Prefer to book on our own and not do a ship sponsored excursion.  Suggestions and comments welcome.

Here is an AI that you might like... https://costamayabeachresort.com/kids-and-family/

There are plenty to research.. (In the past I have used Google maps to see places along the coast, then made separate searches for some individually.)

Is there a non AI that is recommended?

Krazy Lobster is generally recommended but we find it busy and not great for snorkeling.

Hotel MayaLuna is still PAYG as far as I know. Almaplena has been recommended in the past for snorkeling and quiet beach but it is AI and has become quite expensive.
