Car Hire ?

We have rented a car in Maui. The rental desk closes at 5pm but we are in port till 9pm. Does anyone know if we can return the car after 5pm and leave the keys in a drop box or if we have to return the car before the office closes. I would not mind paying extra for the longer day.

You also will need to be specific which rent-a-car company you plan on using.

It wouldn't surprise me that the answer varies by company, and location.

Directly ask the rental agency. That way you know. If they won't do it, some other agency will.
