That's terrible. On HAL they only have to turn in tips to the pool if you've gone to the front desk and cancelled the daily gratuity charges posted to your onboard account. Much better.

Everything is going up.  Why do you spend thousands on a vacation and worry about an increase in tips?  It doesn’t make sense.  Some cruise lines have gone to including tips in the cruise fare.
