The problem with posts such as this is we have had a number of these "drive by" threads of late.

 

It's too bad that many people lately are doing a "bump and run". I don't mind reading someone's review of their cruise but like you said, back up your comments.

 

Let me put this out there: I've read a lot lately about Celebrity's service going down the nick. I hope not as we are returning to Celebrity next year, sailing on the Galaxy (my favourite ship) next February. What specifically are the "problems" with the service, if any? Thanks.

 

I realize everyone has different experiences. I am really sorry

if the original poster had such awful cruises. Nobody wishes

that type of vacation on anyone.

As you said...."back up the comments"....I was sincere in my first

post......I would love to know what happened that made both

cruises so bad.

And if the OP doesn't return to tell us...well, what are we all

supposed to think?:eek:

 

OK....I have sailed X 7 times since 2003. There might have been

a handful (if that many) negatives in all the sailings total.

I had a rude waitress once on Constellation...and was so disappointed

in her attitude and how she spoke to me I went to the Bar Manager

(in a private moment...in a very calm manner) and spoke to him

about the situation. Did she ruin my cruise? No way. Did someone

need to be told about it? Yes, in my opinion they did. (she was

a waitress in COVA).

 

Let's see, I had a filet mignon for dinner one night on Century that

was not cooked as I had requested. Actually it came out raw and I asked

to have it cooked a few more minutes...my waiter took it back

right away and it came back cooked to perfection!

 

Lets see, that is 2 out of 7 cruises.......

 

The service on Celebrity is one of the major points that keeps me

coming back!

I have taken a number of cruises and there is something that has happened on every single cruise I have taken. They always make me get off the cruise ship when my cruise is over. It pisses me off to no end :)

 

I know it can really ruin ones day! ;)

 

I leave tomorrow morning for a cruise on Millennium we leave Sunday...woo hoo!

I'm neither a X super duper fan (just reasonably impressed, and reasonably easy to please) nor am I a fan of the board X sycophant clique... but...

 

OP's luggage delivery was tardy. OK that effects a few hours of day #1 (I won't critisize the "non-novice" that doesn't have an embarkation carry on... well alright I mentioned it). Still a major calamity?

 

X' menues and food is what it is... Accordingly to Conde-Nast etc., it's at least above average among it's competitors (and the competitors are no slouches either)...

 

OP acknowledges superior cabin stewards and dining room servers 24/7. Together this warrants a denunciation?
