New to Seabourn and worried about recent bad food reviews

Many strange and usual things were reported by Tony UK, including the fact that "in over 30 years of cruising on various lines we have never been to guest relations as many times as on this cruise."

On our first SB cruise we visited guest relations mostly to compliment for an excellent service. So I'm really not sure how to take those reports from Tony UK.. I do agree to some degree about limited food options, but the rest.. not so sure.

Well Seabourn have validated and  fully accepted and apologised for my experiences. I have no words for your suggestion that I am no being truthful

Amazed that someone who has been on Seabourn once seems to constantly post and try to sound authorative ) including on use of shower gels) when repeat guests who have been on board recently have stated a number of times there is no charge for using any of these gels - the charge is incurred if you remove the bottles from your cabin/suite.

As to food etc, Seabourn/Silversea/ have some excellent meals / some good /some mediocre and sometimes some poor but the majority of people enjoy the cruise and are repeat customers.

I am with others, if someone doesn’t enjoy Seabourn then go to another line. We have all tried different lines but please don’t try to compare Celebrity with Seabourn even when staying in the top suite ( yes I have done it and they are worlds apart).
If you enjoy other lines then just sail them rather than continually moaning about your one experience .

OK, but I'm still wondering why you didn't report this outrageous behavior toward the women who opted to hide from it. You obviously weren't shy about reporting other issues.

Excellent points!  We had multiple issues, as documented elsewhere, on our last SB cruise but the food was some of the best we have had on 21 SB cruises.

Not in anyway trying to be derogatory towards the comments posted by TonyUK  regarding “the look”. But holy moly, if you decide to stay in your stateroom because of the look, or finger pointing, etc, then I find that a bit extreme. But then again, if that happened to me or towards my DH, I could easily have ‘the look” directly back. I realize not all might be comfortable with that, and if that happened may not have the self confidence. But that said,  I do  find it hard to believe there were that many people who challenged multiple wife’s with ‘the look’, whose husbands then left them in their cabin alone, to then enjoy an evening out without their wives? SB offers excellent room service for two for dinner.

I do not suggest that there were pretty big missed opportunities that occurred with TonyUK On their voyage. I am glad to hear that they were acknowledged and rectified. As they should be.
SB is obviously not a good fit for all. We have found lines that are not a good fit for us, and we moved on.
