14 Day Cruise To Nowhere?

If, as I read on these boards, Summit 14 day cruise to Hawaii has now lost the "cruising De Pali coast" and changed it to a "sea day" will this cruise eventually be a cruise to nowhere with all the ports dropped? Just kidding but---does anyone know why this is happening?

They're having record rain in the Islands and you would be hard pressed to see the Blue Grotto, Bali Hai, Haleakela or most of the really good attractions.:confused:

But the changes are for the October cruises - will it not have dried out by then :)

UKtog---we will be getting off as you get on. I hope they stabilize the itineraries soon.

We just changed our cruise from 10-14 to 9-30; they are doing the Napali coast and are in the other ports for a longer period of time except Maui. In other words, we are getting way more hours in Hawaii than we would have on the 10-14 cruise. You may want to see if you can change yours too.

This has been discussed on other threads, alot of speculation about the ports being full with the new NCL cruises.

With Hawaii now closing beaches on Oahu due to contamination., why get off the ship. The ship is great and so is Hawaii without the beach. Have spent a lot of time there over the last 10 years.

yep but we booked flights from the UK (cant change them now) on the basis of going to Hawaii - if we wanted a ship based trip (which we love) we would have gone for the much cheaper airfare option out of Fort Lauderdale

We just received word that this same itinerary change applies to our Summit cruise in March 2007!
