Hi All:

My DH and I are looking to book a cruise on the Summit. We have never sailed on an "M" class ship before. We have sailed on the Century several times, the Mercury and the Galaxy.

My question is; the "C" class ships have several sky suites with larger balconies than others. Does this also apply to the "M" class ships? If so, can anyone give me advice as to which balconies are larger.

Thanks in advance!

"For the record, the standard cabins on the m-class ships with enlarged balconies are:

2A: 8160,8146,9173,9138

2B: 7049,7080,7163,7166,7171,7173,7175,7177,7174,

7176,7178,7180

2C:6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,

6026,6027,6029,6030,6031,6033,6034

CC: 9043,9038,9201,9164,9162,9160,

8045,8046,8185,8176,8172,8170

6135,6136,6143,6144,7023,7212,7208,7206

The aft CC's have the largest balconies. Second largest are 6135,6136,6143,6144. Third largest most of the ones listed in 2C (but we are aware they are just above the Celebrity Theatre); 2B's are about 1 1/2 times the standard balcony size"

According to the ship's layout, 6048 and 6053 fall into the same size category as 7080, which we had on our last Summit cruise.

SS balconies aboard Summit do vary in size and shape. But they do not match the large size of the SS balconies found on the Galaxy/Mercury Sky Deck.

SS 6146 and 6145 have one of the largest (if not the largest) balcony and cabin space among the Summit Sky Suites.

Here is a thread on 6145/6: 6146, what to watch out for

and another thread with interior photos: 6146 interior

We booked on Cat. 2B, #7066; I guess this appears to be a smaller balcony........but large enuf for two bodies.
