Colombia Question

I'm new to this board and I like it very much. I'm need to know if any of the cruise lines currently stop at the Cartagena port. I know about the safety warnings of traveling to Colombia but have all of the companies decided to stop stopping there? If not, which ones still go there? I've tried finding this out on other boards but so far I haven't been able to. I'll appreciate any info. Thanks

I believe HAL still goes to Cartagena. It is a very historic and interesting town. I would take the precaution of staying with an organized tour through the ship here though. I rarely recommend this but make an exception for this town. I found it invaluable to read some of the history of Cartagena before going. If nothing else, read about the seige by Sir Francis Drake in James Mitchener's "Caribbean". Having read that made the old fort, the harbor chain and other features much more real when I actually got to see them. You can get some good deals on Columbian coffee here too.
