Laurba99 Posted April 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2006 Does anyone know what days are formal on the Millie 7 night eastern 4/16--Do the formal nights seem to coincide with sea days so you get more time to get ready?
C 2 C Posted April 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2006 Usually the second day and the second-last day. A day to get unpacked prior and not on the last night when you have to repack.... as you guessed normally sea days.
Laurba99 Posted April 5, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2006 I appreciate that--I was thinking it would be good to go to the specialty restaurant on one of the formal nights but the first one is too soon and is the second one fancy with lobster and baked alaska? If you go to the Olympic and it is not a formal night-do you know if you still wear a jacket(men)?
C 2 C Posted April 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2006 A jacket on a guy in an upscale restaurant never looks out of place. There is always an "informal night" when jackets are requested throughout the ship... but quite a few guys don't know what "requested" means. Why go to a restaurant known for the ultimate in service if you have a casual attitude?... Look great, feel great..:)
wolfganghowell Posted April 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2006 Your best night to go to the Olympic is Casa de Campo - I think the dining room is open seating that night. Monday and Friday are the formal nights. Olympic does enforce its dress code even on casual nights.
Laurba99 Posted April 5, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted April 5, 2006 Yes that makes sense--My parents will be dressed I'm sure and we did it on a formal night and it certainly felt right to be dressed when getting that type of superior service!~
