I know it's technically not Alaska, but can't find much information about Campbell River BC and Prince Rupert BC. If anyone has any information we would sure appreciate it. Looking at a Pacific Northwest Cruise and looking for things to do in either or both.

I can help you a little. A couple of summers ago, our family spent a week up at Salmon Point, a RV/cabin resort around 10-12 miles south of Campbell River. We shopped and toured Campbell River....it is a fun town. But the main game in town is fishing. If you want to fish, you are going to the right spot. It is an extremely beautiful area; we saw lots of eagles and other wildlife up there. The area is right at a narrow spot that many of the cruise ships cross by, which has to be timed by the tides; therefore, the local newspaper prints the schedules for the ships on a daily basis. (Kind of cool to watch them all go through in the twilight!) What type of info do you want?

Thanks for the response, just trying to figure out what we might want to do there on our own. We'll be there from 7 am til 4 pm and just interested in anything special to see or do.
