Solo Traveling on QM2

As QE2 had single cabins, there were quite a few solo travelers on board. I'm wondering how many now travel solo on QM2, since there are no single cabins. I'm would imagine far fewer, am I right?

Except for the Grill class singles, the rest were in crummy locations. My single clients always opted to pay the single supplement and select the double cabin of their choice. Myself as well.

 

We are all doing the same with the QM2.

 

I haven't seen any changes.

My November, 2004 Caribbean cruise from New York had many singles. There was no difference in my experiences as a solo traveler aboard QM2 than on any other vessel. A very pleasant single woman joined our dining room table of two couples and a mother/daughter duo and I met a very pleasant and interesting gentleman for Happy Hour at the Commodore Club almost every evening.

 

It was a great cruise!

I'm travelling solo on the QM on 11 May. Even paying for two, the inside cabins work out quite reasonably. Roll-on May 11

Crummy locations? Only once did I travel alone on the QE2. My small (but cheap and comfortable) inside cabin was mid-ships on Four Deck. That is a very good location during rough weather.
