What do you like about the new board?

okay, first click on user CP
then edit options.
from the[/font][font=Georgia]re scoll all they way down till you get to Miscellaneous Options.
then from there use the pull down menu, choose enhanced interface - full wysiwyg editing.
then make a new post, and play with all the new toys, highlight what you want to change, pick [size=7][color=Red]c[/color][/size][/font][font=Georgia][size=4][color=YellowGreen]o[/color][/size][/font][font=Georgia][size=6][color=Purple]l[/color][/size][/font][font=Georgia][size=5][color=Cyan]o[/color][/size][size=7][color=Lime]r[/color][/size][size=5][color=SandyBrown]s[/color][/size] and [size=5][color=DarkRed]s[/color][/size][size=1]i[/size][size=7][color=PaleGreen]z[/color][/size][size=5][color=Magenta]e[/color][/size][size=6][color=DarkOrange]s[/color][/size].

To change color, use the following format:

[ COLOR=XYZ ] put your text here and end with [ /COLOR ]

To chance font, use the following format:

[ FONT=XYZ ] put your text here and end with [ /FONT ]

EXCEPT you must not have spaces in between the brackets or it won't work. I only put spaces so you could see what the inputs actually are. Also, for quick access to a change of font or color, you can use the pulldown menus above the message field when replying to threads (you must click 'advanced') and the appropriate coding inputs will appear.

I'd like to take some credit for the hard work I've done here... :D ...especially the reviews that many have commented are well written. I'd like some credit for those.[/font]

In regards to hiding signatures, I know they have that feature and that's why I am glad. I guess 'the next best feature' was reading as: 'the next best feature I would like'.

I'm glad everyone is having "fun" with the new board - I'm just frustrated - lost my countdown clock - my Photo Avatar - can't figure out how to post a signature - I'm just a computer "dummy" - but I did finally figure it all out on the old board - Now I'm "lost" again! Why does my "clock" post only in "code"??? - If you click on it - it shows the correct info. I "saved" the URL from my Photo Avatar on the old board - but when I put it in "Edit Avatar" - it does not work???
Someone HELP - I'm about to "leave" the board altogether!!!

Click on User CP (link at the top left of the page), then click Edit Signature (in the list on the left of the User CP).

:D :D I cut & Pasted exactly what you posted - and HOORAY! - at least my "countdown Clock is back!! I still don't know what I was doing wrong - but until I have to change the "clock" --Who cares?? At least I can see my days now....I can't thank you enough!!! Now - what do I do about my Photo Avatar?---I have photos I can use on my computer, in "starter" editions of Adobe and Camedia etc. but I can't seem to make them small enough and get the proper URL to post.....I was using one on the old board - but I cannot transfer it - I've tried everything I can think of....Can you help with this too??? or am I asking too much now??? - Renee (aka GotToCruise):o

If your clock vanishes again, try this: Go to User CP -> Edit Options, and go right to the bottom. Select the Standard interface, and then save it. Then Edit Signature and get the code back in as I've suggested.

The enhanced WYSIWYG interface seems to muck up everyone's countdown clocks and signatures generally because there's too much code competing with itself. I actually hate it enough that I've turned it off completely.

I can't help with avatars, but there are lots of threads on this on the [url=http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163]help board[/url], so you could go over and have a look.
