Denali Jeep Backcountry Safari vs. Tunda Wilderness Tour

Four of us are scheduled for a HAL cruisetour in June. Currently our particular cruisetour -12R - has us scheduled for the Natural History Tour in Denali which everyone says is a waste of time. We signed up for the Jeep Backcountry Safari shore excursion but we're not sure what we will see from this tour. Our question is should we still upgrade to the Tundra Wilderness Tour if there is time or will we see a lot from the Backcountry Safari. Some of us are concerned about a 6 hour bus ride for the Tundra Tour. Any help would be appreciated.

...and it'll depend on what you want to see. On the Tundra Wilderness you'll be going up a valley where you'll see wildlife & hopefully Mt McKinley while on the Jeep Safari you'll be in an open with the foothills and mountains a bit away from the road which for the last half(?) of the distance will be full of ruts and we really didn't see any wildlife to speak of but we did get to see a different view of Mt. McKinley on another clear day.

Have a great trip...Harvey:)
