a lot of the ships do have hold em, But you must realize it is Limit hold 'em not No Limit.. Which kinda dissapoints me considering I play a great deal of no limit hold 'em and probally could pay for my trip in a few hours at the table with all the unkowledgeable people likly to sit down and play. But in the past week I allready did win enough online playing hold em to cover the cost & excursions.. Now I just need to take it out of my account so I dont give it all back.

I've emailed the OPC host but have not received a response back.

Has anyone played on Carnival recently? It is a $3/$6 or a $5/$10 game.

Also, what is the amount of the rake? Is it a flat amount or a percentage?

thanks for your replys, but what I am asking about our group cruises where different agency have these tournments, they are not held in the casinos, but in convention rooms on the ships, we have been on two with Royal Caribbean with a company called World Poker Showdown, the tournament were help during the same time as the casino could operate, they started at $100 buy in AND THE Big tournment was $2500 buy in, Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymour were on the ship. I know Carnival is having one on the Elation on Nov 30th, but thought I read some where that there was one on ship out of Galavestion, but not sure.

You probably just want to google cruise poker tournaments. There are a bunch of sites out there, but my work firewall won't allow me to access them. Hope that helps.
