rrunner Posted April 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2006 My husband and I will be sailing on the QM2 - across the Atlantic - leaving September 6th from New York to Southampton UK. Does anyone know the average temp. mid Atlantic at that time of year. How about wind. Can we expect to sit out on deck??
Kindlychap Posted April 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2006 Sunbathing will be out. Reading a book on a steamer chair with a blanket on your knee, in true transatlantic style will not. Depending, of course, on how hardy you are! One side of the ship is sheltered, one isn't!
AMPM Posted April 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2006 We crossed 9/20/05 Southampton to NY. We had beautiful seas. No sunbathing is right, it was extremely windy and chilly. The last day as we came closer to shore we were able to sit out with long pants and a sweater. I look back now and it doesn't even seem like I was on QM2. I felt like I walked around a beautiful hotel for 6 days! Have a great time!
