flagger Posted June 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Ok folks. I thought I would give you a quick tutorial on what some of the new icons mean on the vB boards. means that there have been new posts in that thread since you last read it. The thread title will also appear in bold. If you have posted in a thread, you will see on the left hand side of the thread or you will see on the right hand side next to the column for last post. Clicking on on the left hand side of the threads will take you to the first new post since you last read the thread. Clicking on next to the posters name in the last post column will take you to the very last post of the thread. And finally, for those of you on dial-up, indicates that there are attachments in the thread and you can avoid if you need. Let me know if you have any further questions. flagger Posted June 25, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted June 25, 2004 You need to try and adjust the file size, but changing the resolution. I know with photoshop I can save them as either low, medium, high, maximum file sizes. Not sure about your program though. catmand Posted June 25, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Flagger, thanx for the tip, I will get it eventually. I just noticed my picture link was not a hyperlink (I just brought everything over from old board) and figured out how to fix that, so I guess I am not a total dummy, again thank you. gkm Posted June 25, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Flagger, thanks so very much. This is a big help!:D I've been wondering how to tell if I'd read or posted on a thread. Knowing this sure makes the new board more "user friendly." Garry

10s nut Posted June 25, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Flagger The attachment symbol is on everyone's computer. I don't have dial-up but still have it. Want to commend you for all the help you have been!:p
flagger Posted June 25, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted June 25, 2004 I meant for that to read that that is what the paperclip means so if you ARE on dial-up, you will know that there are attachments in that thread. But yes you are correct, it appears no matter what browser or connection you use.
