Verizon Wireless on Dawn?

We're heading out in August on our first cruise and I will be needing to make a call while on board. We're hoping to use our cell phone and was wondering what kind of rates we're looking at to be charged?

I don't think the Dawn has a cell tower yet. So you will only able to use your cell phone near shore. It depends on your plan but the NCL cells when they are on the ship are 1.99 plus what your company charges.

Cingulair Did work at Sea (400) miles north of San Juan. Cost was $.99 minute

They do have a cell tower on the Dawn.

VERY IMPORTANT: Access, rates, plans, etc change often. What happened to Aunt Sally last year may have NOTHING to do with what is available this year, or even last week. Double check.

Meanwhile, thanks to a recent poster, I found these links for Cingular.

(hint, do not try to type these, just click on the link)
