Hi

I am trying to find a hotel in Fort Lauderdale or Miami in March 2007 for a pre cruise stay. My group will be looking for about 20 rooms and transfers from FLL going to MIA for 1 night. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I contact the hotels directly to ask for a better rate than what I am seeing on the internet? Thank you.

Contact the Broward County CVB (there is a link at www.Sunny.org) and they can set you up with hotel rooms and transportation. It is a free service and that is what the Convention & Visitors Bureau is for.

 

If you'd rather stay in Miami, contact the Greater Miami CVB at www.GMCVB.com

 

If you contact each of the hotels directly, it could take you forever. The CVBs will send out requests for proposals and the hotels in your price range that have availability will reply.

 

Don't forget to inquire about comp rooms. You should get one comped room night for every 20-50 room nights booked.
