gopackgo Posted May 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Hi, Our family will be on a Christmas cruise. We are deciding between the Mariner and the Explorer. We are all ages from 4 to 74. I am wondering what types of activities are available on sea days? I mean other than the rock wall and ice skating and golf. Are there craft classes or lectures? Are there cooking classes or wine tasting classes? How often is trivia or bingo played? Is there afternoon tea? As you can tell, I am at the age where rock climbing and the sports court are no longer interesting to me!! :) Thanks a lot! Ginny
It'sRC4ME Posted May 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2006 There will be all the activities you mentioned. Trivia, cooking demonstrations, art auctions, shopping talks, movies, bingo (3/4 times per cruise), pool "games" (belly flop, hairy legs, etc) to watch. Plenty to do other than rockwall/skating/etc. You will not be bored. Enjoy.
Lewdog Posted May 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2006 I find time in the bar and hot tub keeps me quite entertained
gerif Posted May 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2006 OK - when I can pry myself out of the casino, there are also mini-seminars in the spa on hair and skin care (just walk out when they start trying to sell stuff - otherwise it is interesting) as well as towel animal and bow making classes (I failed miserably at this, but had some neat ribbon to tie onto our luggage for the return trip!) There's trivia and bingo every day (sometimes bingo more than once).
