Red Hook Terminal Question?

I know the new Red Hook Terminal is the now the new home (New York) of Cunard's ships. But will they ever return to Manhattan? I heard they are eventually supposed to upgrade the Manhattan terminal(s), but when. And if that does eventually happen, will Cunard return to Manhattan? Just curious.

Either do a search on Red Hook or scroll back a few pages and you will some long discussions about how the Red Hook came to be, future, etc.

So, over the past couple of days I have read through dozens of pages of Red Hook posts. I've learned about it's construction, several different reasons for the move, peoples concerns about the move, info on taxi's, limo's, aiports, safety issues, where to eat in Brooklyn, peoples complaints, news of the grand opening, etc. But, unfortunately I have yet to find the answer to my question. If someone has the answer I would really appreciate it, or maybe point me in the right direction as far as a link to the right post to look at. Thanks again.

the reason you haven't seen an answer is that as far as anyone knows the move is permanent. But what will happen when all the construction at Manhattan is done is 3-5 years is anyone's guess.
