Questions about a Cruise stop at Cannes

I have signed up for a cruise this fall that lists Cannes as one of its port stops. What can anyone tell me about Cannes? Does the ship, the Golden Princess, dock or will we have to tender? I know a little about Cannes, the big movie event, the beach, etc. We have visited the area with a port stop in Monaco a couple of years ago and saw some of the coast during that visit.

 

Anyway what is the best thing to do in or around Cannes?
