Westin Ft Lauderdale, 400 Corporate Drive

 

As requested because of several negative reviews, here is a brief run-down on our April stay.

 

Check-in was fast and efficient, everything ready and in order.

 

Lobby was clean, no smells; only one shattered skylight which should be replaced.

Grounds were generally well-kept

Hallways that we saw were in good repair.

Room was spacious, a generally well-appointed business room. Only drawback was the bathroom. where the tub was extremenly slow to drain. OK if you don't mind standing in 3 inches of water during a short shower. There were a few stray hairs in the tub upon arrival and two very tiny, unidentified bugs wandering over the countertop.

 

All, in all, a satisfactory 3 star hotel.

 

Although ithis hotel is located in the middle of a small business park, you can walk around the area to the river. We had a pleasant morning sitting by the pool (clean and tidy) under an umbrella watching three kinds of lizards nibbling on the begonias.

 

The only question is why HAL put up cruisers in such a remote place.

Has to be because they got a good net rate, in order to add their profit.

 

Don't like the part about the bugs - unacceptable !!!IMO

 

Especially for what you are paying.
