how do I get bold type?

Stupid question maybe, but how does the title of my post get to be in bold. I noticed almost everyone elses is bold, some aren't, so I must not be doing something right?

Izzy, go to User CP, click on Edit options. When the page comes up, scroll down to Miscellaneous Options and in the drop-down, choose Standard Editor. This should fix your problem. The next time you reply or post, you will see all the editing tools in the reply box.

OK, the title just changed to bold type all by itself. Does it have anything to do with someone now having replyed (I wonder?)

OK, now it just changed back to regular. I swear that just a second ago the title appeared in bold though. How wierd is that????

You did see the title appear in bold - that has something to do with it being viewed. I don't understand this part.

 

But have you made the change I suggested. That will allow you to type bold face type in your posts.

This is exactly it. The title of a post will be in bold if there has been a reply to it since you last logged in to the boards. (Remember that many of us use automatic log in, so you may not be aware of when you've logged in and out.) Once you've read that thread, the title will go back to regular font.

 

There is a known issue with the board software, in that sometimes if you come back too quickly it will show everything as unread again. But if you go away for an hour or so and come back then this tagging function should work properly.
