Mariner E2 Balcony Guarantee Question/Help

Recommended Posts

We're sailing June 11 on the Mariner of the Seas. Currently have category F, Large Oceanview on deck 7 booked.

The RCCL website now shows the E2 Balcony guarantee cabin for about $40 cheaper than what we have the F Oceanview (currently the E2 is about $600 less than the F and is one of the cheapest cabins available).

I've checked to see what balcony cabins are available in all classes. I'd be happy with any that are currently showing (2 weeks out).

Question 1 - From what I read a cabin is immediately assigned on the guarantees as final payment as been made. Does anyone know if the cabin will come from one of the ones shown as currently available or does RCCL hold cabins back for quarantees?

Question 2 - Anyone had experience with E2 guarantee before? What'd you get?

Thanks for any help.

Never had an E2 guarantee, but most likely you'll get more than an E2. Not to worry though, No bad balconies on the ship.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if there were any "obstructed view" or other un-fun balconies.

We did this for our upcoming explorer cruise. We started out with a promenade room but noticed that it was $700 cheaper for the balcony gty! We took the E3 gty and we wound up with a D1! We got the room assignment the next day. This was all after final payment.
