Car Rental at pier in Seattle

Hi,

I know this subject had been discussed on this board. I asked on the Alaska board if anyone has actually rented a car fro Thrify at pier 30 or 66 in Seattle and received no reply. I know the service is available, what I want to know is if anyone has done it and their experiece doing it.

I don't want to go back to the airport from the pier just to pick up a rental.

Two years ago we took a taxi to thrifty (one mile away).

There was a Thrifty desk at the Pier when we arrived back in Seattle on 5/13. They sent a shuttle bus to pick up us and get the car. Thrifty also had great prices. Good luck.

I saw a Budget courtesy van circling this past weekend at Pier 30 in Seattle.

We rented at the thrifty counter at the pier(30), we had gotten a great rate about a month before. It was very easy, the only difficulty was getting through the hundreds of people waiting to get on busses:mad: . But the shuttle van was right outside and was a quick ride to the rental area. We did have to return the car off site at SeaTac, but it was easy as well and I love the shuttles that drop you right at your terminal instead of having to haul your luggage from the on-site return area.

There are no cars on site at either Terminal 30 or Pier 66 for rental. You must travel off the dock/terminial by shuttle to pick up a rental car.
