Queen Elizabeth chairs

Have just got back from a a Black Sea cruise on Minerva 2 with Swan Hellenic. Magic, and showed up Cunard in many many ways.

 

They had some wonderful old style steamer chairs, constantly being re varnished and which were the most comfortable I have ever found. They seemed to have been made for or used ??? on QE1, being of a quality rarely found now. Does anyone know their history.

I can't asnwer your question, but I do hope they remain with the ship when she leaves Swan Hellenic and becomes Royal Princess for Princess Cruise Line.

Fascinating... I wonder if these are really authentic, or just replicas, and either way, how they wound up on MINERVA II.

 

It is sad that the Swan Hellenic era is coming to an end but it seems as though SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE is carrying on the Swan legacy, and knowing Saga, they have probably even managed to improve on it.
