Anyone ever been upgraded on B2B cruise?

We've just booked a BA balcony on the CP doing a Caribbean tour in a couple of months. We asked for and got a cabin assignment so we were assured of a covered balcony with no one above, on an upper deck. We have the same cabin for both weeks. Has anyone ever been on a B2B and been offered an upgrade? What happened? Were you offered the same cabin for both weeks? Were you happy with your decision? Thanks for any insight you can give!

Actually never heard of being upgraded to the same cabin twice on a B2B cruise. Most people want to stay in the same cabin both legs so they opt to just choose the 'no upgrade' option. Let's just say it is VERY UNLIKELY!

We did a B2B on the Grand and were upgraded from Inside to Outside Obs on both legs. Another B2B we did was Tahiti but we did not get an upgrade. We booked an outside on the first leg and a balcony on the second leg (got a good price). Move was a piece of cake.... stewards helped.... :)

So, as I said, the upgrade was not to the same cabin on both legs? It can happen, but it is very unlikely!

Thanks, Chasetf - my TA said we would probably have to disembark & re-embark (?) while the ship was in between sailings. Did you have to? Also, you didn't say specifically, but did you get the same cabin both sailings on the Grand?

In 2003 I booked an oceanview guarantee on Regal B2B and was assigned the same balcony for both segments. The same thing happened in 2005 when I had B2B2B on the Sapphire. So it does happen.

We booked an AB mini suite b2b on the Golden from Barcelona to Southampton and then on to New York. We were upgraded to A PH suite for both legs. It does happen.

I booked a BB cabin on both legs for Sept. I am in a cabin that I will be happy with on the Caribe deck (same cabin for both legs) and my TA specified "no upgrades." I love being in the aft section of caribe deck and definitely do not want to have to change cabins.

Yes.... had the same upgraded cabin for both legs.

At the end of the first leg we were asked to meet in the casino (about 30 folks were continuing). After all passengers departed we were taken off the ship (Ft Lauderdale) and went through immigration (but not customs) on the pier. We then reboarded and spent the rest of the day on the ship. Had the whole pool to ourselves. We could have gotten off and toured or whatever.

We went through customs departing after the second leg.

We had the same cabin (Grand Princess) on the B2B when we were upgraded.

On the Tahitian Princess trip (no upgrade) we went for an outside on the first leg and got a good deal on a balcony for the second leg. It was our choice to change rooms between leg. :)
