vesw01 Posted June 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2006 Is that 75 days prior to your trip? Our final payment is rapidally approaching, yet it still seems the cruise is way off in the distance.

For the most part your final payment will be due 75 days out, that is just the average. With the group that we booked through a TA we set the final payment 90 days out, so we could save up spending money. After your final payment the time will go by faster than you think it will. yogimax Posted June 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2006 My final payment (booked directly with Carnival) was sixty days out
Cruise Cat Posted June 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2006 Who you booked with is probably the key. When you book through a travel agency, they actually own the reservation, if I understood what I have read correctly. They probably want the final payment to be made earlier than the cruise line. caribbean dreams Posted June 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2006 We book through a TA and final payment is due 11 weeks out, which makes it a real long wait.
zqvol Posted June 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2006 Final payments are due to Carnival 75 days prior to departure for cruises of 6, 7, & 8 days, along with Alaska cruises and 10 day or longer cruises. For European cruises final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. For 2, 3,4, & 5 day cruises final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. These are the dates that Carnival has to have the money so, if you use a TA they are going to need it about a week earlier to insure that Carnival gets it on time.
