Click on User CP in the upper left hand corner, then go to Edit Options.

 

Scroll down to Misc. Options and change the interface to Enhanced.

Go first to User CP, and click on "Edit Options" ;

at the bottom of that screen you will find "Misc. Options"

 

change the messenger editor interface to read "enhanced interface - full wysiwyg editing" (What You See Is What You Get)

 

Hit SAVE.

 

Once you've done that when you hit reply to another's posting you will be able to enter the smilies in text :D;) :) , change your font size and colour etc.....
