kandtq Posted June 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Can anyone recommend a good travel book for Bermuda? My Mother will be traveling there next year and I want to get her a book for her birthday. Thanks!
Susan-M Posted June 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2006 I bought this one which is good as an introduction to Bermuda ... fairly detailed, interesting, easy to read & great pictures. There are also bus and ferry schedules included. It was last revised in 2004. http://www.hunterpublishing.com/templates/bookdetail.cfm?bookid=1-58843-392-7 But for touring on our own, I always bring Frommer's or Fodor's. ZoeyZoo Posted June 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2006 I bought Maverick Guide to Bermuda, Second Edition (Maverick Guide Series) by Catherine Harriott (Paperback - Mar 2004) on Amazon.com The author lived on Bermuda and it discusses a lot of things from a local point of view in addition to information on the sites and towns. I found it really useful for my recent trip and accurate.
