best time to arrive at port

We'll be sailing in the next few weeks on Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. What is the best time to arrive at the port? I think our documentation said to not arrive prior to 2:00pm. We were thinking of arriving a little earlier. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We just got off the Mariner Sunday. We had arrived at the port early (10:00) in case of any possible wildfires. We were able to hand off our luggage at 10:30, then we waited until about 10:45 before they let us inside the building. At about 11:00, they opened the check-in counters. We were checked in by about 11:05. They then opened for boarding at 11:30, just as a nearby sign indicated. So I'd say you could easily arrive anytime after 11:30 and have little or no wait.

We always get there by 11 am. That's the fun part, almost like an extra day on board. Plus we like to explore the ship before it gets crowded. Just remember you will have to keep your carry ons with you until about 130. So we bought one of those luggage roller carts. Works perfect.

If you are staying at a hotel and using their shuttle, they might have certain times. It is an easy port to get in and out of. We got there at 11. On within an hour.

I'd say 10:30-11 and you will be one of the first onboard.
