Sailing out of NY in October

Thinking of doing Crown Princess in October - Any thoughts on how cold it will be on the first and last days? We went to Bermuda in September once and it was windy and cool, but I realize conditions can change and the weather is not predictable. Really just looking to hear from those of you who have sailed in and out of NY in October.

Temperatures range from the mid 50s to low 60s in October. However, the temperature may dip into the 40s at night. Of course on the water it will be cooler.

Could reach 80 too. You just never know.

It's not going to vastly different from the weather in Ohio in October. It's unpredictable. Last year on Halloween weekend I was outside in a t-shirt, no jacket. Other years I was looking for my winter coat.
