Am reading that Princess is now charging for coffee..does this include room service coffee or just coffee at specific places on the ship?
Princess is NOT charging for coffee in either the dining room or buffet. If you want specially-brewed coffee such as cappuchino, yes, there is a charge. Also, if you go to the Patisserie, they have special coffee brewed from grounds and yes, there is a charge for that.

It's very, very confusing for new people to see others posting that you have to pay for coffee. You don't. The specialty coffees, yes.

Pam.. What do you mean by "special coffee" ? To me regular black coffee brewed is still regular coffee and that is what is served in the Patisserie and in the bars for $1

On our last Dawn trip we had the option to buy a coffee card that was good for cappuchinos, mochas, etc... It worked out to about $2 per drink and they punched the card when you ordered the coffee.

If you're charged extra for "regular" coffee, it's been brewed from coffee beans/grinds rather than syrup.
