Anyone just come back from the Majesty?

Recommended Posts

I leave on Monday and was wondering if anyone had some helpful information about the ship from a recent trip.

It is the wife and I's first cruise and we are so excited. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you taking the four day or three day cruise?

We sailed on Majesty in February this year. We liked the coziness of the ship being as it is one of the smallest in RCI's current fleet. We just came back from Freedom of the Seas, the largest in RCI's fleet and find there are definite advantages to both kinds of ships.

As this is your first cruise, a smaller ship may be a good start to see if you would enjoy a longer cruise or a bigger ship with many more amenities.

The ship is showing her age, but will go into a major refurbishment next January. But inspite of her age, Majesty is comfortable, easy to get around. Even though she is small, there are still good shows in the theater, some good lounges, plenty to eat.

At Coco Cay you will have to tender into the island. The ship does not dock there. The island is very restful and lovely. If you go on the four day cruise, you will go to Key West. You must clear immigration on the ship when you get to Key West before you get off or even if you don't get off, but it doesn't take too long. Key West is a fun place to visit, but very hot and muggy this time of year.

I hope you really enjoy your cruise and will want to cruise many more times.
