MarinerCruise06 Posted June 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2006 In the voager family what would you consider the best ship for families?
superjerryw Posted June 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2006 The ships are all the same in terms of facilities, just minor differences in decor.
crusinmama06 Posted June 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Any of them would be a good choice. What itinerary would interest you? That would be how I would make my decision. And where do you live in relation to the port? For instance...Explorer is leaving from Cape Liberty New Jersey which is good for those of us in the North East. But you might be closer to Florida and another ship.
TheWog Posted June 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Mariner - you can leave from Port Canaveral. and you can get direct flights to Orlando from my home airport. :D
cruzinmecrazy Posted June 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2006 In the voager family what would you consider the best ship for families? I totally enjoy the bigger ships. More to do, I like the wide open ship setting with bars, shops, casino etc. Down fall is too many passengers. We sailed on the Soverign OTS it was smaller and more friendly but less amenities. No skating rink, less shops, bars, dining facilities. Naviagator was by far my favorite cruise then Explorer and Mariner. Lots to do and plenty of room. We are booked on the Vision and the Adventurer. We are getting a bigger cabin, but I know I will miss the ice skating show and chops. There is no bad choice. You have to deal with more people on the bigger ships and loose the choice of things to do on the smaller ships. Your choice,, more people and more to do....or less people and less to do. sorry if that just complicated things more. I usually try to just block out the arrogant, inconsiderate, idiots that you sometimes pass on larger ships and focus on the things I can enjoy. I have stories from bigger ships, especially ones with 1600 plus foreigners... not bitter just honest. cruise on...
FlyingPhotog Posted June 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2006 We loved the Navigator, it's the only Voyager Class ship we've been on. I seldom see anything negative about it compared to others.
