zorbaj Posted June 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2006 We are notices and would like to know which nights of the seven day cruise will be formal and what night is the baked Alaska parade. We don't want to book the Pinnacle on those nights.
BLS Posted June 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Might help your posting to get rid of the thumbs down icon you have posted. Makes folks think your're unhappy!
~Roses~ Posted June 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2006 You will have to wait until you get on board. They may tell you when those nights are, but usually they let you know the night before at bedtime you'll get the sheet for the next day and it will say the "dress" for the next day/night. I'd ask at the front desk to see if they know. But really, the pinnacle grill rocks compared to the dining room although it is very nice as well. Be sure to eat at the pinnacle grill one night! doone Posted June 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Baked Alaska parade is usually the next to last night onboard, known as Farewell Night.
grannynurse Posted June 30, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Usually on a 7 night cruise the first formal night is the evening of the first full day, as in board on a Saturday, formal night Sunday. In Alaska this summer Westerdam boards on Sunday, and Monday is an at-sea day so formal night with Captain's party is Monday night. Thursday is the last formal which includes the farewell dinner and baked Alaska parade. Which sailing are you on? We have a thread started for Sept 17th on the roll call board and most of the other 2006 sailings are also on that board. GN

grannynurse Posted June 30, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Welcome zorbaj, Please feel free to join the discussion on the roll call board. We are all sharing information, asking eachother questions and comparing notes. We have tentatively mentioned an onboard cruise critic get together but haven't made any plans so far. Again, we're glad you are joining us on this cruise and hope we meet on board. GN
