Saunj Posted June 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2006  Does anyone know about how many hours we will be in the air from Philadelphia to Barcelona?
7SeasLover Posted June 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Depends on your flight. We're 8 hours from JFK to Paris, then another 2 to Istanbul. It's a long flight overseas.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted June 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Depends on your flight. We're 8 hours from JFK to Paris, then another 2 to Istanbul. It's a long flight overseas. AF quotes a trip time of 3:20 between CDG and IST. You may have miscalculated timezones or DST. So bring an extra magazine or two for the extra time. Shorex Posted June 30, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2006 There's a handy reference for quick flight lookups. It's http://www.eskyguide.com On the home page, just plug in the departure and arrival city codes, and the date you are flying (or a sample date for research). Putting in PHL and BCN for July 26 (as a random example), both US Air and Spanair have nonstops with 8 hours listed as flight time. The advanced search option will let you restrict the output to a certain airline, etc. One drawback is that, while most carrier routes are listed, WN routes are not. Very odd, you can check on flights on Siberia Air, Air Algerie, and even Larry's Flying Service, but not Southwest.
Shorex Posted June 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2006 www.eskyguide.com shows four AF non-stops between CDG and IST on July 26 (random date). All show flight times of 3:20. IST is on EEST (Eastern European Summer Time) while CDG is on CEST (Central European Summer Time). www.timeanddate.com is a great resource for sorting out time zones around the world, summer time changes, etc.
garycarla Posted July 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 1, 2006 Actually, you can go to the airline website, or one of the big ones like travelocity, expedia, etc and plug in your cities. They show lots of flights, times, etc.
