Park & cruise hotel in Jacksonville?

Does anyone know of hotels in Jacksonville that let you leave your car for the duration of the cruise if you stay there the preceeding night? I've heard of a Holiday Inn that does it- wondering if there are any more choices since we may stay there a couple of nights afterward, too.

I just booked Holiday Inn Express & Suites Blount Island (less than 1 mile from the pier) and was told that due to security reasons, they are not allowed to babysit your vehicle for the week you're away. I'd rather pay $13/day for the patroled & gated lot at the pier.

I am interested in a post-cruise hotel on the beach,(or within walking distance) that we can stay in Mar 2007. That is not too expensive. Any suggestions. We usually stay at the HolidayInn express when we travel, but they dont have one in Jacksonville, and the nearest HolidayInn to the beach is 11 miles.

This link might help you find something. It is from the same website I posted above.

You might also check other sections of that website for information on the Jax area.

As much as I love my city, I would not leave my car unsupervised downtown. Make sure you park it somewhere secure. It is not horrible downtown, just use caution.

What about near the airport. The hotels there say they have the cruise and park package and patrolled security at night.
