victory2020 Posted July 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2006 Does anyone know of hotels in Jacksonville that let you leave your car for the duration of the cruise if you stay there the preceeding night? I've heard of a Holiday Inn that does it- wondering if there are any more choices since we may stay there a couple of nights afterward, too. I'd rather pay $13/day for the patroled & gated lot at the pier. Candy the ZuiderPrincess
ljchris1990 Posted July 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2006 The Holiday Inn Airport has a cruise package that will allow you to leave your vechicle and give shuttle service to and from port. They have night time guards to watch the vehicles (6pm-6am). ljchris1990

KroozFoolz Posted July 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2006 There are several Jax hotels/motels that offer free parking during your cruise as well as free shuttle service to the port and back to the hotel/motel post cruise. This site list some of the them and how to contact them: http://www.jaxcvb.com/visiting_jax/special_offers.asp?#16 We stayed at the Clarion Airport and were very satisfied. bookwerm1980 Posted July 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 7, 2006 I am interested in a post-cruise hotel on the beach,(or within walking distance) that we can stay in Mar 2007. That is not too expensive. Any suggestions. We usually stay at the HolidayInn express when we travel, but they dont have one in Jacksonville, and the nearest HolidayInn to the beach is 11 miles. KK_Cruisin Posted July 7, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2006 As much as I love my city, I would not leave my car unsupervised downtown. Make sure you park it somewhere secure. It is not horrible downtown, just use caution.

This link might help you find something. It is from the same website I posted above. http://www.jaxcvb.com/visiting_jax/accommodations_selected.asp?ID=4&submit=Go You might also check other sections of that website for information on the Jax area.
