Parking at NY Port Authority

Question, we leave on 7/23 for our cruise on Carnival Legend out of NY. I see it says that parking is $24 per day :eek: ...is this true? Do they offer a flat rate for the full week? Does anyone have any experience with parking there? Thanks for any help you can offer.

We paid $180 for parking this past week - the rate maxes out for more than a week. There were lots of spaces available and it was all fairly easy. After we disembarked, DH had the car down to pick up the luggage and me within 15 minutes - and most of that time was spent walking to the car.

Thanks Kathy, I am so excited!!! We live in Hartford and were going to take the bus but after going down to the station and checking it out I would just feel more comfortable going in my own car. Then we can leave when we want. 15 days to go!!!!!!:D

We were on the Victory last week. We got to port about 2. There was no parking in lot available. We had to park on ramp leading to lot. It was gated and secured. We still paid the $24 a day. The ship ended up docking 1 pier over from where we embarked.We did self assist. We got on elevator and ended up right near our car on ramp. It was the least crowded thing and fastest we did all week.:)

24 dollars to park in that sorry city port? i'll stick with my fl ports, 12 bucks a day.
