Westerdam - cabin 5012

We've just booked for the May 30 2007 Westerdam cruise of the Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean (Roman Empire) in port side quad stateroom 5012 (category VC). We are seasoned world travelers (DH and I), but first time cruisers (apart from a couple of North Sea crossings. I'd be interested in hearing others' recent experience in this specific cabin or in this class of cabin. Our two teenage DDs will be sharing the cabin with us! Any space saving tips, tips on navigating the ship from this cabin, or other suggestions on optimizing our cabin and shipboard experience will be gratefully received.

Thanks to all of you who post on CC. I have learned so much in just a couple of weeks of cruising the boards. Now I'm ready to cruise the seas!

I too am interested in any information in the VC catagory. My Husband and I, and our 3 & 6 year olds are traveling the Westerdam in December 2006. I am most interested in photographs of the cabin in that catagory. Also, are there laundry rooms on floor 5? Any information on Club Hal programs for the 6 and 3 year old would certainly be appreciated.

There are no self-service laundry facilities on any of the Vista-class ships. :(

You can send it out on a pay-by-the-piece basis, or use the "all you can stuff" in a bag method, or purchase the unlimited package for the length of the cruise.
