wondering if anyone took a martz bus to port authority and then a taxi?

is it a hassel or worth it?

we are from ne pa and it is cheaper to take the bus just wondering what problems i can be in for?:eek:

Are you speaking of New York?

 

I would take Amtrak or NJ Transit to Penn Station before I'd take the bus. Yes, you can catch a cab from the Port Authority to the Port for a couple of dollars.

I assume you are going from the poconos to NYC. If so, the Martz bus is probably your best bet; otherwise you are going to have get someone to drive you into NJ to take a train.

I've taken the bus then a $5.00 cab ride to the port authority. It was effortless. I would recommend it, besides it's less than a 5 minute ride.

sorry going from scranton , pa to nyc.

getting off at port authority and taking a taxi to get on the spirit.

this is cheaper for me to do than driving into the city-- paying for gas parking and toll.

just wondering what i can run into as far as aggrevation.:cool:

Sitting in a bus on Route 80 or Route 78 in horrible traffic is madding but it's better than being the driver. :o

 

Weekends eastbound usually aren't bad; the traffic moves. If you are sailing on a weekday, watch out! I'd budget at least 4 hours: 1 to get from Scranton to NJ, 2 to cross Jersey (disgusting isn't it?) & 1 for "insurance."
