Weather in Dominica in Mid October

I was just wondering if the weather is beautiful here in October?? I was thinking about booking some excursions in advance, but don't want to lose my money if the weather might be bad. I realize that the island is outside the Hurricane Belt, but wanted to know if there is anything else other than the normal tropical daily shower I normally see on other islands??

When we were there in October,it was raining lightly in the morning.It got hot and steamy in the afternoon when the sun came back out.We hired a private driver pretty cheap who took us to some amazing places all over the island,we even fried an egg in a natural hot spring.We stopped at a local store on the way back to the ship and picked up some beer to bring back to the ship.

Thank you so much! It seems as though hiring private drivers/taxis is the way to go on most of the islands on this itinerary. Did you have any problems bringing the beer back on the ship?? Was it Carnival?

It was Princess and it was no problem.

We also had light showers in the morning. And boy did it get hot and steamy in the afternoon. Glad we chose to go to the falls in the afternoon.

Thanks so much for the info ! I think we'll wait to do an early afternoon excursion as well. Probably the Falls and Emerald Pool
