Since Carnival and HAL seem to be related, do you get credit for having cruised on "the other" line when booking a cruise and you are asked if you have sailed with them before?

Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland America Line are both owned by Carnival Corporation. (So are other brands including Princess.) Each has its own loyalty program. You do not get credit on Princess, for instance, for having sailed with HAL. What you DO get is any past-passenger discount that may be offered.

I wish we could have our days that we sailed on Cunard and Princess count towards HAL's days.

 

But alas that will never happen.
