Mayfield Falls vs YS Falls?

I also would like to know if a young couple in there early 80's could do one of these tours or if there is a place where they can ride up with the group and just enjoy and get there feet wet. (it is there 60th wedding aniversity and are taking the family on a cruise.) Thanks, Rlyans

I cannot advise on Y.S. Falls but we did Mayfield in May. The Falls itself is relatively easy - the water is not deep and in most places, not running very fast. The difficult part there - incredible as it seems - is the walk to the Falls to/from the area where the tour vehicles are parked. It is very steep and going down is fine but getting back up is a chore. Those 'youngsters' in their 80's might struggle with that unless the tour driver can drive the vehicle down to the bottom of the hill.
