Citytv Hosts the 4th Annual Taste of the City Saturday, July 29 @ The Plaza Of Nations Noon-8pm The date has changed but Taste of the City remainsVancouver’s premier single-day food extravaganza -- Discover the diversity of Vancouver’s culinary culture at Citytv’s fourth annual Taste of the City -- a one-day tasting extravaganza on Saturday, July 29th at the Plaza of Nations from noon till 8:00 pm. Admission is free. As in past years, visitors simply purchase “Taste Tickets” in .50 cent denominations and can exchange them for sample-size portions of signature menu items from more than 25 of Vancouver’s best restaurants. Items range in price from .50 cents to $3.00. Taste of the City continues to attract an exceptional lineup of culturally diverse restaurants and in 2006 the list includes: Ashiana Tandoori, BC Chefs Association Jr. Chapter, Beaches Restaurant at Coast Tsawwassen, Burgers etc. BBQ House, Century Restaurant, Cassis Bistro, Chutney Villa, Feenie’s Bistro, Fiddlehead Joes, Habibi’s, Joeys, Kelsey’s Restaurant, La Gavroche, Maurya Indian Cuisine, Memphis Mikes, Milestones, Mosaic Bar & Grille, The Mouse and Bean, Nando’s Chicken, O’Doul’s, Patisserie Lebeau, Relish, Sate Satu, Senova, Slimz, T.G.I. Friday’s and Vera’s Burger. On the Plaza of Nations Main Stage, Simi Sara, host of Citytv’s CityCooks, along with other Citytv personalities, will host a continuous line-up of Vancouver’s most-acclaimed chefs as they demonstrate the preparation of their favourite creations. Everyone is welcome to sample and savour the very best of Vancouver cuisine from noon till 8:00 pm at the Plaza of Nations.
