travelteam Posted July 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2006 From the Europe Board.........iteresting sites about the history of Gibraltar, the site below has wheelchair accessible information that is very helpful for us travelers who are slow walkers or use a chair. http://www.gibraltar.gov.uk/hol/index.asp I believe going up the rock and seeing its historical and interesting sights is the highlight but probably stopping in an English pub for pint or two would also be called for. Creeks Posted July 31, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2006 We are slow walkers; took the bus to town and walked the square and up the street; came back down side streets to Irish Street and Pubs. Fish and chips was different: a whole fish! Pleasant people..........
cruisedolly Posted July 31, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2006 In 2004 we shared a van with another couple and went to the rock, stopping to see the apes etc. I think it was a little imder $100 a couple and we didn't have to get out and do any walking. Great trip. Gibralter is my favorite. I love the quaint airport. Have fun
