Noise level on Promenade Staterooms

We are considering going on Explorer next year. We have previously been on Voyager (had a great time and a balcony) and are thinking about one of the promenade rooms. I figure they might be a little noisy during the parades but how about any other times? How noisy/quiet are they?

We did a Promenade room on deck 7 of Mariner. No noise from the Promenade at all other than the two parades. Now the kids in the stateroom next to us were another story...:(

The glass in the windows is very thick to keep out the general noise from the promenade. You can hear the noise from the parades. If there happens to be a band plyaing in the promenade or some other event where a microphone is being used you may hear that as well. This is not generally done late at night so there is not really a problem.

We were on the Mariner last year with a promenade room and it was very quiet. I was worried it would be noisey but it wasn't. It was nice to be able to look out and people watch. I am sure you will enjoy it.
